About Us
Why We Started
Shirahama has been welcoming visitors for over a thousand years. Emperors bathed here. Pilgrims passed through on their way to the Kumano shrines. And today, roughly 3 million people a year come for the white sand, the hot springs, the sea cliffs, the sunsets.
What they couldn't always find was an omiyage worth keeping. The kind of souvenir you actually want — something well-made, thoughtfully designed, and genuinely tied to the place that inspired it. That gap is why Shirahama Town the shop exists.
What We Make
We make high-quality designer apparel and gifts — t-shirts, sweatshirts, caps, keychains, and small objects — rooted in the culture, history, and visual identity of Shirahama Town and the wider Kii Peninsula.
Our designs reference real places and real stories: the Sanbashi pier, the Yuzaki district, the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trail, the beach club culture of Shirahama. Each piece is meant to feel like it came from somewhere — because it did.
Our Relationship to the Town
We are based in Shirahama-cho, Nishimuro-gun, Wakayama Prefecture. We operate physical stores in town and also ship nationwide across Japan.
We believe that a place's best souvenirs are made by the people who love it most.
Design First
Every product starts with a genuine design idea — never a template, never a generic print.
Rooted in Place
Every design references something real about Shirahama — its geography, history, or culture.
Quality You Keep
We make things that are good enough to keep long after the trip is over.
